Job PurposeWe are seeking an experienced Installation Engineer with a minimum of five years’ commercial refrigeration experience. Skills & Qualifications

MS662 - Garage Equipment Engineer (Installs)
Location: Leicester
Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum basic
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Garage Equipment Engineer (Installs) on behalf of one of our clients.
This role includes responding to workshop garage equipment breakdowns as well as diagnosing and rectifying equipment issues ensuring customers are compliant and productive. This will involve traveling to highly professional large-scale commercial and industrial vehicle workshops, generally within your geographical area. You will be working on customer equipment such as car lifts, MOT testing equipment, air compressors, wheel alignment, tyre changers, wheel balancers and a range of other automotive equipment. We are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person with electro-mechanical skills, to join our Clients Installation team.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out installation on a wide range of garage equipment products including vehicle lifts, brake testers, gas analysers and smoke testers.
Ensuring control of own van stock to meet First Time Fit targets.
The continued development of skills required ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard.
Prepared for occasional overnight stays from home.
Prepared to work overtime when required.
Skills and Qualifications:
To have a good working knowledge and experience of installation and / or plant maintenance activities - ideally in a field service environment.
Ability to install equipment working from site specification and scale CAD drawings.
Able to understand and follow procedures and work instructions, to specified standards.
Ability to deliver excellent quality of service to customers.
To be self-motivated with a positive “can do” attitude towards solving problems.
Able to work under own initiative when required.

What are your key responsibilities?
* Provide on-site maintenance and repair of automated handling systems, including conveyors, sorters, and robotics.

Field Service Engineers ATM /Breakfix
We are excited to offer an opportunity for skilled engineers to join us on a flexible pay-per-hour basis, supporting ATM First Line Maintenance (FLM) activity.

What we’re looking for
* Passing a Pre Employment Screening Level 4 is essential
* Previous ATM experience is desirable but not required – full training will be provided.
* Flexibility to work within our operational window of Monday to Sunday, 08:00–22:00.
* Availability for 8.5–9 hour shifts (including a 30-minute unpaid break), 5 days over 7.

* Strong background in electromechanical or IT field service engineering.

* Knowledge of basic PC hardware, software loading, and configuration.
* Comfortable using hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic software.
* Strong customer service and communication skills, representing the company professionally on-site.
* Ability to work independently, managing time and priorities effectively.
* Willingness to travel locally within your allocated region.
Desirable Skills
* Prior experience with ATM installation, servicing, or first-line maintenance.
* Familiarity with ATM manufacturer NCR is an advantage
* Experience working in a regulated industry (financial services, security, or telecommunications).
* Ability to deliver basic user training or guidance to clients after installation.

£17.00 per hour
Rate to Engineer if no calls/low hours £50
If Engineer works, the pay would be £17 per hr those hours are offset against the £50 until exceeded.
Mileage is charged as below:
0 - 50 miles free
50 - 100 miles charged at @ 22p per mile
100+ miles charged at @ 45p per mile
An additional £10 completion bonus will be paid once the job has been successfully completed and closed down requiring no further visits
