We’re supporting a global engineering leader in their search for a Lead Systems Engineer to join their advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment team.
This is a high-impact, hands-on systems leadership role spanning the full lifecycle - from concept design through to customer commissioning and field trials.
You’ll sit at the core of product development, using Systems Engineering and MBSE techniques to bring structure to complex engineering challenges and ensure delivery against time, cost, and technical requirements.

Turning product vision into clear, structured system requirements (use cases, context diagrams, architectures)
Applying MBSE (functional, logical & behavioural modelling)
Leading cross-functional engineering alignment and resolving technical trade-offs

What we’re looking for:
5+ years’ Systems Engineering experience in complex engineering environments

In this role, you will act as the subject matter expert for PNT and synchronisation technologies, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders. The Role:
Act as Technical Authority and primary SME for PNT and synchronisation technologies
Gather and define stakeholder requirements for secure timing and synchronisation solutions
Design and implement scalable, secure synchronisation network architectures
Produce and control high- and low-level design, configuration and governance documentation
Identify risks and support migration and transition planning
Provide technical leadership and support across internal teams, customers and partners
The Person:
Degree-qualified or equivalent experience in Telecommunications or a related field with 5+ years’ industry experience
Strong experience in PNT technologies and synchronisation protocols (e.g. NTP, PTP, SyncE)
Proven background in network synchronisation design, architecture and implementation
Experience within defence, CNI or other highly regulated environments
Strong understanding of networking, routing and switching principles
Eligible for SC clearance with strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills
