Typical duties include :

  • Providing support to the SDA regarding overall Radar System design.
  • Responsible for defining and capturing digital requirements from board level to sub-system level.
  • Provide digital techniques support to the SDA and techniques groups (RF, software, digits, mechanical, DO) at all stagers throughout the design life cycle.
  • Provide support to digital techniques team throughout the design process ensuring adherence to established design protocols.
  • Provide analysis of system architectures with a view to providing guidance on make/buy/COTS decisions.
  • Define test and integration plans from board to system level.
  • System Design Assurance - ensuring there is enough built in functionality to support design assurance. Also contributing to the generation of the system design assurance specification.

Knowledge:

  • Experience in digital electronics including FPGA development, high speed interfaces (such as serial FPDP, JESD204 etc) , COTS hardware and PCB design.
  • Experience in sub-system and System integration and test.
  • Familiarity with Xilinx/AMD FPGA products and Vivado design tools
  • Experience in radar system data analysis.
  • Experience in the whole design process from requirements to design assurance and sign off.
  • A solid understanding of radar operation, in particular Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radars.

Skills:

  • Experience using AMD/Xilinx Vitis.
  • Experience designing with AMD/Xilinx Versal or Zynq Ultrascale plus devices

Summary

Due to growth of local contracts, NG Bailey Facilities Services are recruiting a Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support our contracts in Cambridge Region providing PPM and reactive maintenance.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will deliver all Electrical statutory and reactive maintenance required across various contracts, some of these will include Schools/Educational Buildings, Commercial Buildings supporting the local engineering teams.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

  • Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance relating primarily to Electrical Building Services Plant and System’s in-line with agreed programmes / SLA’s in order to meet Client and Statutory Compliance.
  • Completing Remedial Works identified through PPM work undertaken and Reactive when requested.
  • Carry out planned, reactive and small works. Such as, emergency light testing, lighting upgrades, motor installations and fault diagnosis to building services equipment
  • To maintain premises to an exceptionally high standard
  • To ensure that all applicable site documentation is kept up to date and compliance records are maintained for the electrical systems as this will be regularly audited either by internal or external parties.
  • Assist with supervision of sub-contractor works ensuring compliance and adherence to applicable H&S standards when required.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)

What we’re looking for:

Our newMaintenance Engineerwill join a small & friendly team working effectively and efficiently on breakdown and repairs. The team handle the planned scheduled maintenance and all associated tasks on both conventional and CNC machine tools and plant. This is a permanent role.

The successful applicant will work night shifts (7pm-7am) on a 17 week rota as below:

17 weeks of Wednesday - Friday & every other Saturday

17 weeks of Sunday - Tuesday & every other Saturday

(3 on - 4 off, 4 on - 3 off)

The night shift has an additional 38% shift allowance for the first 35 hours, and 58% for anything extra paid in addition to the basic salary.

How You’ll Contribute

In this role, you will maintain and diagnose faults on:

Machine tool/plant including:

  • Machine tool axes including linear guides / rails, motors, gearboxes, lead screws, bearings
  • Machine guarding both internally and externally
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems including counter balance circuits, hydraulic clamping, hydraulic motors, rams, cylinders
  • checking and topping up various oils, fault finding & diagnostics on complex Machine tools/plant as well as diagnosing faults on rails, gearboxes etc

Machine alignments by:

  • Checking and correction of machine alignments, by clocking bars, datum holes and slip gauges, laser alignments, ball bar tests
  • Correction by changing parameters in CNC. control, testing with machine cuts/machine cycles

Plant:

  • Maintaining mainly associated plant such as CNC milling machines as well as CNC lathes, CNC Gear cutters, Jig Borers, Robots, Swarf conveyors, coolant systems, etc.

You will also have some electrical appreciation, including:

  • Knowledge of machine tools electrically
  • Knowledge of machine parameters and diagnostics
  • Ability to run calibration programmes
  • How to disconnect pumps & motors
  • How to reset trip & fuses

The Role IT Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading client for a Senior Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on technical position supporting Microsoft 365, Windows 11, and other Microsoft cloud systems for customers across the UK and beyond.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Provide end-user support for Microsoft 365-based systems as part of the helpdesk team.
  • Analyse technical problems and provide effective diagnosis and solutions.
  • Support Microsoft Windows 11 environments.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with users via telephone and email.
  • Deliver support for a range of Microsoft cloud services including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and Intune.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in first, second or third-line support within an MSP or other high-paced helpdesk environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and Intune.
  • Clean driving licence.

Additional Information:

  • Most team members work approximately 2 3 days from home per week.
  • Occasional early shifts (6 30) or late shifts (12 00) may be required.
  • Participation in an on-call rota for evenings and weekends is required (additional pay applies).
