An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out the PPM and Reactive activities in accordance with our contractual agreements for Liverpool University

Day to day duties for this role include but are not limited to;

  • Maintain a close liaison and working relationship with the Engineering Team, Contract Delivery Manager and Engineering Manager

  • Ensure any accidents and near misses are reported to line managers
  • Maintain and supervise, issues arising, ongoing works, special task requests, standard of housekeeping
  • Comply with both statutory and company health, safety and environmental regulations and policies.
  • Timely implementation and recording of all statutory inspections including accurate recording of all electrical work undertaken
  • Where necessary be available to attend out of hours calls when required and provide site cover OOH on planned event days.
  • Control of 3rd party contractors including monitoring of work performance and standards, including internal auditing where applicable in conjunction with the Contract Delivery Manager /Engineering Manager
  • Ensure that Specialist Service Provider worksheets are signed off that quality of work is inspected, and recommendations are escalated to the Contract Delivery Manager
  • Ensure that Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are kept to the highest level of housekeeping
  • Will be expected to operate, and trouble shoot all building systems but not be limited to the following: BMS and electrical monitoring, Air handling / conditioning, Domestic water services, Fire prevention and detection systems, AC, DC single phase and three phase systems, associated controls, Low voltage switch gear and medical equipment as required.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • C&G Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation
  • 18th edition certificate
  • Strong Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance experience
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities
  • Must be prepared to work out of hours when required and participate in a call out rota.
  • Have good communication and organisation skills

  • Current ECS card with Chapter 8 awareness
  • IPAF trained

Key Skills & Experience
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including VRV/VRF systems, split AC, HRUs, FCUs, AHUs and extract/supply fans.
Ability to carry out PPM tasks, inspections, testing and fault finding to HVAC industry standards.
Experience working on commercial sites, preferably schools or multi site facilities.
Understanding of associated controls/BMS (basic BMS knowledge an advantage).

We have an exciting opportunity for a IT Project Engineer / 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join a growing, friendly and dynamic Managed Service Provider (MSP) who deliver support both remotely and in person to Businesses across the UK.

The Role of IT Project Engineer

The IT Project Engineer / Senior IT Support Engineer is responsible for leading and delivering IT infrastructure projects for multiple clients in a managed services environment. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and client-facing skills to design, implement, and optimize solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Project Engineer

Project Leadership: Lead projects from planning through implementation, including cloud migrations, network buildouts, virtualization, and security modernisations. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.

Technical Solution Design: Architect and deploy solutions such as Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange/O365 migrations, and hybrid cloud environments. Configure and secure network hardware (VPNs, firewalls, routers, switches).

Client Engagement: Act as a technical lead and consultant, communicating directly with clients to align technology solutions with business goals. Provide Tier 3 escalation support

Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, configurations, standards, and SOWs. Provide regular updates to clients and leadership.

Security & Compliance: Implement and manage security improvements (MFA, endpoint protection, email filtering, secure remote access). Ensure all solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.

Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for automation and workflow improvements. Implement scripts and tools to enhance efficiency and reliability of IT services.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and client IT departments to ensure seamless project execution. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Person Specification for the IT Project Engineer

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an MSP or multi-client environment.
  • Strong background in Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and network infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), Cisco/Meraki/Fortinet, Intune, and cloud technologies.
  • Proven success leading migrations, upgrades, and implementations independently.
  • Excellent communication, client-facing, and project management skills.
  • Commitment to documentation, continuous learning, and white-glove service.

An exciting opportunity for an LEV test engineer to develop and grow a rapidly expanding LEV department.

The engineer would be responsible for carrying out LEV testing, and working with the directors to increase sales and develop this important division within this company.

The right individual will undertake Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) examinations and testing and producing technical reports. My Client offers a UK wide service, the ideal candidate would be based in the Greater Manchester area and be willing to travel and stay away as required.

Other Duties:

  • Visiting customer sites to carry out site surveys and inspections.
  • Building a relationship with current customers to help them better understand the need for LEV testing.
  • Working with the directors to help improve current LEV system.

They are currently heavily involved globally in the transition from oil and gas to other sources of energy including hydrogen and ammonia, decarbonisation, production of biofuels and the move towards minimal manning of offshore production facilities

Vacancies now exist within the Flow Assurance team.

You will work as part of small project teams developing concept and early project definition in the Oil and Gas sector.

The role:

  • Act as a flow assurance engineer on a range of upstream projects, and conduct Flow Assurance studies using software packages, e.g., OLGA, PIPESIM etc.
  • Develop pipeline simulation models, perform simulations of selected cases as defined by self / project and assess simulation results.
  • Perform design calculations and prepare technical reports in accordance with company and project quality requirements.
  • Report to flow assurance SME.
  • Contribute to flow assurance strategies, philosophies and procedures.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Experience in single and multiphase pipelines (steady state and transient hydraulic) analyses using industry standard software, e.g., OLGA, PIPESIM, PIPENET etc. is essential.
  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in flow assurance modeling using OLGA transient simulation software.
  • Experience in assessing flow assurance issues like slugging, hydrates, wax, erosion, corrosion etc. by use of simulation software and providing the best mitigation solutions.
  • An ability to work in a collaborative way as part of a multi-discipline project group with minimum supervision.
  • Experience in pipeline sizing and thermo-hydraulics Studies, transient analysis covering shut down, blowdown, start-Up, ramp-up / turndown scenarios.
  • Experience in pipeline overpressure protection studies including surge pressure analysis.
  • Knowledge of flow assurance issues including slugging, hydrates, wax, erosion, corrosion etc. and mitigation methods.
  • Good understanding of thermodynamics and experience of Multiflash preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent computer skills, as well as excellent oral/written presentation / report writing skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team.
  • Experience on flow assurance conceptual and front-end studies and topsides process engineering activities including process modeling in HYSYS would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute studies.
  • Ability and experience of presenting to clients.
  • Operational experience would be a benefit but not essential.
