Support heavily with new product introduction (NPI) projects and heavily support operators at the machinery. Closely support the production team by generating offline programs for CNC milling and turning machines including 3,4 and 5 axis to fulfil customer demands. Assist and direct the prove-out process for NPI projects including CAD/CAM programs on the machines where required to guarantee first-time quality and production readiness. Support the quality department with PFMEA. Support machining technicians with daily problem solving, implementing permanent corrective actions. Assist with designing and selecting tooling and fixtures to aid process improvements enhancing machining capabilities. Produce accurate set up sheets and tooling logs to support consistent machine setup. To assist the Project Director with the successful implementation of projects advising on areas for improvements. Lead technical discussions with suppliers and customers delivering engineering solutions.
