You will be responsible for the end-to-end commissioning of complex, multi-protocol integration platforms, ensuring that disparate systems communicate flawlessly to create a truly “smart digital” environment.

OKTO provides industry leading investment per employee in personal development and on-going training.

We are committed to employ the best qualified and highest certified technical team in the UK.

The successful applicant will enjoy £4,000.00 per annum investment in their own personal development.

  • Network & IT Infrastructure:Deploy and manage building networks, including IP addressing, VLAN configuration, firewall navigation, and wireless sensor integration.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting:Use lateral thinking to solve complex “system-of-systems” failures where hardware, firmware and software layers intersect.
  • Software Development/Scripting:Utilise basic scripting (Python, Javascript, or similar) to automate data flows or create custom logic for non-standard integrations.
  • Client Consultation:Act as the technical lead on-site, explaining complex digital concepts to stakeholders and ensuring the final “user experience” of the building meets design intent.

Technical Requirements:

  • Software Mastery:Expert-level proficiency in at least 2 major BMS/BEMS platforms and a deep understanding of Tridium Niagara (N4) or equivalent middleware.
  • IT Literacy:Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Subnetting, DNS, Cyber Security Protocols). Experience with SQL databases or API (REST/JSON) integration is a significant advantage.
  • Protocol Expertise:Ability to “sniff” and analyse packets (using tools like wireshark) to diagnose communication issues between diverse hardware brands.
  • Logical Mindset:A proven ability to approach problems from a first-principles perspective, identifying the root cause of issues in high-pressure environments.

Personal Attributes:
