The Opportunity:
A leading engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Teamcenter Migration Engineer to support a major defence manufacturing project based in Huddersfield.
You’ll take the technical lead on end-to-end PLM and CAD data migrations into Siemens Teamcenter — working across legacy systems, data mapping, script configuration, validation, and post-go-live support.
This is a hands-on, technically challenging role within a high-performing engineering environment. You’ll be part of a long-term programme delivering critical solutions for a key defence client.
What You’ll Do:
Lead full lifecycle Teamcenter migration projects from planning through execution and validation.
Analyse and interpret legacy PLM, ERP, and CAD data to define scope and migration strategy.
Collaborate with business and functional teams to capture and document data mappings and transformation rules.
Configure and optimise ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) scripts.
Support test runs, go-live cutovers, and post-migration stabilisation.
Conduct data profiling and cleansing, advising stakeholders on improvements.
Produce clear technical documentation and status reporting throughout the migration process.What You’ll Bring:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Teamcenter deployment and data migration.
Proven track record leading metadata, CAD, and document migrations.
Strong understanding of PLMXML and IPS Data Upload utilities.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools (Informatica or Pentaho preferred).
Ability to script or code using Teamcenter ITK libraries (advantageous).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
