Role & Responsibilities:

Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used
Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment
Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery
Generate and maintain compliance to SOP’s, risk assessments
Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues
Working on a range of valves & Pumps
Supporting production & continuous improvement projects

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Formal Engineering Qualification – C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
Continuous improvement knowledge
Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical systems used within our bespoke equipment. Working closely with mechanical engineers, project managers, and production teams, you will play a key role in delivering reliable, compliant, and cost-effective electrical designs from concept through to commissioning.

Job Responsibilities:

* Design electrical control systems for specialist industrial equipment

* Produce electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts

* Specify electrical components including PLCs, drives, sensors, and safety systems

* Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. IEC, BS EN)

* Support the build, testing, and commissioning of equipment

* Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met

* Contribute to continuous improvement of electrical design processes and standards

Experienced:

* Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

* Experience designing electrical systems for machinery, automation, or specialist equipment

* Proficient in electrical CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)

* Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and industrial control panels

* Understanding of electrical safety standards and machine directives

Role Purpose

The Multiskilled Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all production and engineering equipment across sites.
