I am recruiting for a Senior Test Engineer to be based in Leeds 3 days per week, 2 days remote.

The role falls inside IR35 so you will have to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.

The Senior Test Engineer will have extensive Typescript and automation (functioning) experience.

The candidates must have demonstrable leadership skills in driving change and will have managed/led a team. Your team leading experience must be clearly visible on your profile.

Candidates will also have experience of non-functioning testing - either performance or accessibility.

You will have a number of years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testing and test automation.

You must be proficient in Typescript/Java, with the ability to write and maintain test automation scripts.

Experience in nodejs frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress or other nodejs automation frameworks in Javascript is essential.

Data management is handled through entity framework which interacts with the SQL databases. REST API’s are used through the system as the methodology to interact with third party integrations which are key with the system.

The new system is currently being developed by a third-party but there is a requirement within the company to be more self-sufficient and bring the software development resource in house - although this may also be supplemented by third party development support also.

A full stack developer is needed to help support the ongoing software improvement / bug fixing and changes to the system as business requirements require.

The head office is based close to Birmingham Airport which has excellent motorway links (M6 / M42) and train links with Birmingham International being a 10-minute walk away from the office.

The role will be a hybrid one with two days a week in the office.
