The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Solution Engineer - Mobile & Salesforce to design, build, and evolve our core member-facing and operational digital platforms.

The role blends mobile application development (iOS & Android) with Salesforce integration and platform customisation, supporting high-quality digital experiences for both members and staff. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to turn business needs into reliable, scalable solutions. This is a delivery-focused engineering role, suited to someone who enjoys owning solutions end-to-end, working across disciplines, and operating close to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain iOS & Android mobile applications for members and internal teams including testing cycles, release process and deployment.
  • Use Salesforce to build bespoke solutions and build integrations between mobile applications.
  • Partner with other teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Support system testing, UAT, releases and production rollouts.
  • Support and maintain AWS services used by mobile and integrated platforms.

About you

  • Demonstrable commercial experience developing iOS and Android applications.
  • Experience using Salesforce to provide key business solutions including use of Sales/Service Cloud and platform integration.
  • Strong API, system integration and cloud services (AWS preferred) experience.
  • Hands-on, proactive and willing to dive into operational detail whilst working under pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate and support multiple stakeholders across both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Comfortable owning solutions from design through delivery.
  • Prior experience within hospitality and membership is an advantage.
  • Prior experience with data warehouses, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps is also advantageous.

The Network Engineering Service will support the technical team responsible for the design, development, documentation, building and validation of the core physical and virtual networking components which form the backbone of the NSoIT(D) Platform. The detailed responsibilities of the team include:

  • The design, development, building and validation of all networking components which form part of the NSoIT(D) Platform.
  • Production and review of all levels of design artefacts.
  • Supporting wider NSoIT(D) system testing activities.
  • Working with Service Management to resolve issues.

Essential skills, qualifications and experience

In order to deliver this service, it is essential that individuals have:

  • Demonstrable experience of at least 3 years within the industry with detailed knowledge and understanding, of the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of the following:
    • Hierarchical IP Subnetting.
    • Routing protocols, internal and external, OSPF, and BGP.
    • Advanced knowledge of routers, switches and firewalls.
    • Core network technologies and infrastructure:
      • Cisco Nexus
      • Cisco IOS XE
      • Leaf and Spine network architecture
      • VXLAN Overlay networks
      • Dual Cloud Dual Hub DMVPN Solutions
      • Firewall IPS/IDS
      • AAA Management Platform e.g. ISE
      • VXLAN
    • TRLCrypto
      • Configuration of devices and management of keymat
    • All aspects of QOS (Traffic Shaping / Policing / Scheduling / Congestion Management and Avoidance).
  • At least one of the following professional certifications that have been obtained within the last five years:
    • Networking certification - at least CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or similar.
    • Virtualisation certification - VMware VCP-NV (VMware vCenter Certified Professional - Network Virtualisation)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills to solve problems and propose new ideas.
  • Hold a valid Security Clearance (SC)
  • Competency in MS Office Suite.

Desirable skills, qualifications and experience

In order to deliver this service, it is desirable that individuals have:

  • Experience of:
    • Working within the public sector, preferably Defence, and ideally with Defence Digital.
    • Defence networks and gateways.
    • Delivering accredited secure solutions within the UK Public Sector.
    • Delivering in Agile (SAFE4) and Waterfall projects.
    • Large Virtualisation infrastructure environments that operate at scale.
  • Knowledge of the Atlassian toolset (JIRA and Confluence) to record and document work.
  • A Computer Science university-based education at Bachelors or Masters level.
  • Experience in developing secure architecture within a multi-tenanted environment.
  • Chartered Engineer Status.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Digital Workspace / Field Engineer to join an established end user support function delivering high quality IT services across multiple UK locations. This is a field-based role with a base office, requiring regular travel to client and office sites.

You will play a key role in maintaining secure, compliant, and high performing digital workspaces for end users, supporting hardware, software, and mobile technologies while delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd Line End User Support for hardware, software, and application issues
  • Manage incidents and service requests via the ITSM platform (e.g, Hornbill)
  • Build, configure, and deploy Windows 10/11 laptops and desktops
  • Deliver Laptop Refresh programmes and device lifecycle management
  • Administer Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and mobile device management
  • Perform software installations, updates, and patch management
  • Monitor device compliance, antivirus, and security tooling
  • Support Active Directory administration, including group policies
  • Provide basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN)
  • Assist with small scale project delivery and rollout initiatives
  • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and end users
  • Travel to client as required

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a 2nd Line / Digital Workspace / EUC / Field Engineer role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and device management tools
  • Experience delivering Laptop Refresh / Device Rollout programmes
  • Familiarity with ITSM / ITIL environments
  • Understanding of Active Directory administration
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in client-facing environments
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Mobile Device Management platforms (e.g., MobileIron)
  • Knowledge of deployment tools such as PDQ
  • Exposure to Autopilot and modern endpoint provisioning
  • Experience supporting iOS and Android devices
