Despite being relatively new locally, the business is already:

Well-funded
Commercially proven
Scaling globally
Backed by significant investment

This is a rare opportunity to join early in the growth journey, while benefiting from strong financial backing and clear product-market fit.

High-autonomy engineering culture

This is an opportunity to make a real leadership impact during a period of major growth, while helping build one of the most technically ambitious engineering teams in the region.

Director / VP of DevOps - UK/ROI (Remote)

* Salary: Up to £150k + bonus + benefits

About the Company:

This global technology organisation supports a large portfolio of enterprise software partners, operating a highly distributed, multi-cloud platform at scale.

Following a recent transformation, the business is investing heavily in AI-driven engineering, automation, and platform modernisation, shifting toward a more senior, high-leverage engineering model focused on speed, efficiency, and reliability.

The Role:

This is a critical leadership position responsible for defining and executing the DevOps, Cloud, and Platform Engineering strategy across a complex, high-availability environment.

You will lead globally distributed teams across DevOps, SRE, and Cloud Engineering, with a strong focus on automation, scalability, and operational excellence.

Crucially, this role requires an AI-first mindset - understanding how AI can transform software delivery, remove bottlenecks, and significantly increase engineering velocity.

Key Responsibilities:

* Define and execute the long-term DevOps and Platform Engineering strategy across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Lead and develop senior engineers and managers across DevOps, SRE, and Cloud teams
* Drive an automation-first culture, leveraging AI to improve deployment speed, reliability, and efficiency
* Evolve CI/CD pipelines to support high-frequency, high-confidence releases
* Identify and eliminate delivery bottlenecks across DevOps, infrastructure, and release processes
* Build and enhance observability (logs, metrics, tracing) to improve performance, stability, and incident response
* Partner with Engineering, Security, and Product leadership to ensure scalable and secure delivery practices
* Own cloud cost strategy and optimisation across large-scale environments
* Champion developer experience through self-service tooling and streamlined workflows
* Provide clear reporting, KPIs, and risk visibility to executive stakeholders
* Influence engineering culture toward AI-augmented, high-performance teams

Essential Criteria:

* Proven experience leading DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering at Director or VP level
* Strong experience across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) within complex distributed systems
* Deep expertise in CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containerisation, and modern deployment strategies
* Demonstrated ability to scale and modernise engineering practices across multiple teams
* Strong understanding of observability, reliability engineering, and incident management

AI Mindset (Critical):

* Strong understanding of how AI can transform software delivery and engineering productivity
* Experience applying AI tools (e.g. Copilot or similar) to improve development and DevOps workflows
* Ability to move beyond basic AI usage and think in terms of:

  • Automation at scale
  • Agent-based workflows
  • Managing systems by exception
  • * Focus on business impact and efficiency gains, not just tooling

* Excellent stakeholder management across engineering, product, and executive teams
* Experience managing cloud spend and operational budgets

Why Join

* Play a key role in a major AI-driven engineering transformation
* High-impact leadership role with real influence on platform strategy and delivery
* Opportunity to redefine DevOps in an AI-augmented engineering environment
* Work alongside experienced leadership in a globally scaled platform business
* Competitive salary, bonus, and benefits package

Staff Software Engineer

Full Stack | Product Engineering | High Ownership Environment

My client is building a team of engineers who don’t just design systems, they own them end to end, collaborate deeply, and deliver real product outcomes.

This is not a role for someone who sits at 30,000 feet.

They are looking for engineers who can move between architecture, collaboration, and hands on delivery without losing depth in any area.

The Opportunity

You will operate at Staff level within a fast paced product environment, working across backend and frontend systems to deliver scalable, user facing solutions.

You will be expected to:

Drive technical direction while staying close to the code
Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to shape solutions
Operate in ambiguity and bring others along with you
Deliver outcomes, not just ideas

This is a high trust, high expectation environment where strong engineers thrive.

What You’ll Be Doing

Designing and building scalable, production grade systems across frontend and backend
Leading technical discussions while actively collaborating with peers and stakeholders
Translating requirements into pragmatic, well structured solutions
Writing clean, maintainable code and contributing to shared codebases
Balancing speed, simplicity, and scalability in your approach
Mentoring engineers and raising the bar across the team
Contributing to a culture of ownership, clarity, and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

Core Engineering Strength

Strong experience building end to end systems, not just one layer
Solid grounding in APIs, data modelling, and system design
Ability to move from high level thinking into implementation detail
Comfortable writing code without over reliance on AI tools

Collaboration and Communication

Able to clearly explain your thinking and bring others along
Strong experience working with cross functional teams
Demonstrates real ownership, not just contribution
Comfortable operating in live problem solving environments

Execution

Strong time management, able to scope and deliver within constraints
Avoids over engineering and focuses on pragmatic solutions
Can adapt rather than forcing previous architectures onto new problems

Red Flags for This Role

This environment will not suit engineers who:

  • Stay too high level and avoid implementation detail
  • Rely heavily on AI tools without understanding the output
  • Struggle to collaborate or communicate clearly
  • Over engineer or fail to prioritise effectively
  • Cannot demonstrate hands on coding ability when needed

Tech Environment

  • Modern frontend frameworks such as React
  • Backend services and APIs such as Node or Java
  • Cloud native architecture, AWS preferred
  • Microservices, data driven systems, and distributed architectures

Why Join

  • Work on real product problems with visible impact
  • Join a team that values clarity, collaboration, and ownership
  • High autonomy with strong engineering standards
  • Opportunity to shape systems from idea to production

Backend Software Engineers (Golang / Java)

Hybrid Roles | Cloud Security | Northern Ireland

We’re proud to be working exclusively with a high-growth cloud security company that established its Northern Ireland engineering hub less than two years ago. Since launching locally, the team has grown to 30 engineers and is now entering a major scale-up phase following a $250 million investment secured in January.

Despite being under two years old locally, the business is already:

  • Well-funded
  • Commercially proven
  • Scaling globally
  • Backed by serious investment

It’s a rare opportunity to join early - but with strong financial backing and clear product-market fit.

  • Familiarity with microservices architectures
  • Strong analytical thinking and ownership mindset
