NetSuite Consultant - Remote
Apex Cloud Consultancy Limited
Worcester
Fully remote
Mid - Senior
£50,000 - £60,000
RECENTLY POSTED

REMOTE

Apex Cloud Consultancy is continuing to scale its NetSuite practice and is looking for a NetSuite Consultant to join the team.

This is a chance to work in a genuinely client-focused consultancy where you ll have real ownership of projects, not just being a cog in a delivery machine. You ll work with new and longstanding clients, helping them implement and continue to optimise NetSuite to support their next phase of growth.

This is not a role for someone who wants to slot into a defined lane, or deliver the same module day in, day out. It is an opportunity to own your client relationships long term, as their trusted advisor.

If you enjoy variety, stakeholder engagement, and seeing the real impact of your work, this is the kind of environment where you ll thrive.

What you ll be doing

As a NetSuite Consultant, you ll be responsible for delivering both ongoing managed services and end-to-end ERP solutions from discovery and design through to implementation and post-go-live support (tier 3).

You ll work closely with clients to understand their processes, challenge where needed, and design solutions that genuinely improve how their business operates.

You will report directly to the CEO for escalation on complex technical or architectural challenges, but the expectation would be for you to be the senior voice in the room, and the person customers trust to deliver in most scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead full-cycle NetSuite implementations independently, from scoping through to go-live and hypercare. Managing project timelines and flagging risks proactively to internal leadership
  • Manage client stakeholders at all levels, including finance directors, operations leads and C-suite
  • Conduct requirements gathering, gap analysis and solution design workshops
  • Produce and maintain key project documentation including functional specifications, test scripts and training materials

Client Engagement

  • Build trusted relationships with client project sponsors and day-to-day contacts
  • Run end-user training sessions and support UAT
  • Provide clear and concise status updates, managing expectations throughout the engagement
  • Identify opportunities to expand the scope of engagement in line with genuine client need

Internal Contribution

  • Collaborate with the sales team on pre-sales activities including demos, scoping calls and proposal input
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practice development
  • Mentor junior consultants where applicable
  • Escalate architectural or high-complexity challenges to the CEO appropriately

About you

We re looking for Consultants with experience in delivering NetSuite implementations who ideally have some experience on the financial side of things, if you are financially qualified, that would be fantastic but not essential

  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong functional knowledge across core NetSuite modules: Financials, Order Management, Inventory, CRM
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle from discovery to post go-live support
  • Confident client-facing presence with strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience writing functional specifications and solution design documents
  • Ability to balance multiple projects in a consultancy environment

It would be great if you had

  • NetSuite specialised enablements (Multibook, ARM etc.)
  • Exposure to SuiteScript / integrations (expectation to work with tech consultant giving functional/financial insights to queries/issues)
  • Vertical specialism in one or more of: SaaS, subscription businesses, construction, wholesale distribution, professional services
  • Prior Background in finance, accounting, or operational roles
  • Demonstrable experience with 3rd party SuiteApps eg. ZAB, ProScope etc. and/or familiarity with complementary platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot etc

Why you ll love it here

We re the new kids on the block, recently onboarded to the NetSuite Partner Programme, building our practice with intent and aggressive plans for future growth industry disruption. It s the best time to join, as a smaller partner, you ll have more responsibility and autonomy from day one including:

  • Exposure to a wide variety of industries and business challenges
  • Collaborative, close-knit team (no corporate red tape)
  • Clear progression as the business scales
  • Delivery focused environment
  • Competitive salary + performance-related bonus
  • Remote-first working, with flexibility around client commitments
  • Training and NetSuite certification support

This is a high-impact hire. The business is at an inflection point - we have great clients, building our pipeline and now direct access to product. What we need is the right person to own some more of delivery, so our CEO can focus on growth. You will report directly to the CEO, carry real responsibility from day one, and play a central role in shaping how the practice operates as we scale.

You might be running a pre-sales demo on Monday, leading a design workshop mid-week, and supporting a junior team member through their first configuration on Friday. If you thrive on variety, ownership and working directly with decision-makers rather than through layers of management, this is the role for you.

Ideally this role will be full time, but we are open to phased returns to work for the right candidate!

Canada Life UK is transforming to create a more customer-focused business by providing our customers with expertise on financial and tax planning, offering home finance and annuities propositions, and providing collective fund solutions to third party customers.

Job Purpose

The Test and Release Manager - Customer Engineering is responsible for planning and managing end to end testing and release activities across the Customer Engineering estate, with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) at its core.

Operating as an individual contributor, the role owns quality and release outcomes across Salesforce led customer service journeys and the integrated systems that support them, from initial unit testing through to system, integration and business user acceptance testing (UAT). It ensures that changes delivered via Salesforce FSC configuration, custom development, integrations and downstream systems are robust, compliant and aligned to business and regulatory expectations.

Working as part of cross functional product and engineering teams, the Test and Release Manager defines and coordinates test strategies, embeds modern quality engineering practices (including automation and AI enabled testing), and plans and scopes releases within Customer Engineering, coordinating with other end to end teams across the wider technology estate as required4. The role is critical in maintaining platform stability, optimising release cadence and ensuring that customer and colleague experiences are protected through controlled, predictable change.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate and oversee all test phases (unit, system, integration and business UAT) for changes impacting Customer Engineering platforms, ensuring alignment of scope, timelines and entry/exit criteria across teams. Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Architects and Business Analysts so that quality is built in from discovery through to delivery.
  • Define and maintain the test strategy for Salesforce Financial Services Cloud and related customer service journeys, covering configuration, custom Apex, Lightning components, flows, validation rules, APIs and integrations8. Assure quality across end to end financial services processes such as customer onboarding, servicing, case management and data flows.
  • Design, implement and maintain automated tests for Salesforce FSC and integrated systems, embedding test automation into CI/CD pipelines to minimise manual testing and accelerate feedback. Champion modern testing practices such as shift left testing, TDD/BDD, risk based testing, AI assisted test design/execution and collaborative ownership of quality across delivery teams.
  • Own the scoping and planning of releases within Customer Engineering, including the definition of release content, risk assessment and readiness criteria. Coordinate Customer Engineering releases with other end to end product and platform teams to ensure coherent, non conflicting changes across the integrated estate. Contribute to the publication and communication of the wider release calendar where relevant.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews, providing input to go/no go decisions based on test results, risk profile, defects and business impact. Define and apply standard mechanisms for rollback and capture release related performance indicators (e.g. defect leakage, incident trends, release stability) to drive continual improvement.
  • Work with the Release and Environment Manager, Development and QA teams to ensure appropriate non production environments, data and configuration are available and aligned to support end to end testing and release activities. Help set quality gates for environment readiness and promote consistent environment management practices.
  • Monitor Salesforce FSC and integrated system health, along with release and test process performance, identifying opportunities for improving quality, efficiency and automation coverage11. Feed insights into backlog and process improvement forums.
  • Provide clear, timely communication to IT and business stakeholders on test and release status, risks, issues and dependencies. Manage test and release risks and exceptions, working with teams to resolve issues that may affect scope, schedule or quality.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience in testing Salesforce solutions, including FSC data models, configuration, customisation and integration.
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce testing, including flows, validation rules, Apex, Lightning components and API.
  • Significant experience planning and managing end to end test activities (unit, system, integration and UAT) in complex, integrated environments, ideally within financial services.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining test automation for Salesforce and integrated systems, embedded into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks and scripting/coding languages (e.g. Apex, C# or equivalent) and with cloud based infrastructure and managed services.
  • Strong understanding of modern quality practices such as shift left testing, TDD/BDD, risk based testing, pairing and collaborative ownership of quality.
  • Knowledge of waterfall and lean agile software development and testing lifecycles and methodologies (Scrum/Kanban.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to see across systems and processes, recognise patterns and identify opportunities to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence, facilitate and negotiate with distributed, cross functional teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to deliver under pressure and to tight timescales, managing multiple releases and test activities simultaneously in a constantly changing environment.
  • Curious, proactive and committed to continuous learning, particularly within the Salesforce ecosystem and emerging AI enabled testing tools.

Qualifications

  • Degree level qualification in an IT, technical or scientific subject, or demonstrable experience working at an equivalent level.
  • Salesforce and/or testing certifications (e.g. Salesforce Certified Administrator/Platform Developer, ISTQB)
  • Technical release management and/or environment management qualifications advantageous

Senior Salesforce Developer

Remote or hybrid

£60,000 - £70,000

Salesforce Developer AI / Agentforce Remote (Very Occasional Travel to Office)

Are you the kind of Salesforce Developer who wants to be part of something that isn t fully figured out yet?

Not in a chaotic way, but in a you actually get to shape it way.

We re working with a business that s just invested heavily into Agentforce. Now they need someone to help make it work.

Not just technically - but for their business.

What you ll be doing

This isn t a wait for tickets kind of role.

You ll be:

  • Working hands-on across Salesforce (Apex, LWC, Flows, integrations)
  • Getting stuck into Agentforce implementation from early-stage exploration through to rollout
  • Helping define what good looks like, not just building to spec
  • Improving and evolving what s already there
  • Working closely with the wider team to solve real business problems

There s a lot of figuring things out as you go here.

That s part of the appeal.

What they care about

Yes, they want a solid Salesforce Developer.

But more importantly, they want:

  • The right attitude
  • Someone who pulls their weight
  • Someone who actually cares about the team

Skillset can be developed.

Mindset is harder to fix.

That said, you ll need a solid technical foundation:

  • Hands-on Salesforce development experience (Apex, Lightning, Salesforce Cloud)
  • Comfortable working across integrations with other systems
  • Ability to take business requirements and turn them into working solutions
  • Experience working across different parts of the Salesforce ecosystem (not just one narrow area)
  • A pragmatic approach to building - not overengineering, not cutting corners

You don t need to know everything.

But you do need to be someone who can pick things up quickly and actually apply them.

Why this is worth a look

Most Salesforce roles are incremental.

This one isn t.

  • You ll be involved in AI adoption from the ground up
  • You ll help shape how it s actually used in a business
  • You re joining at a point where things are still being defined

That usually means more ownership.

And more impact.

It’s still a hands-on engineering role-but with more influence. You’ll be expected to guide delivery, lead Agile ceremonies, and act as a senior voice within the team, while working closely with stakeholders on shaping solutions.

  • Designing and building Salesforce solutions across the full life cycle
