We are currently seeking passionate and enthusiastic individuals to join our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team located in Welwyn Garden City.
While experience in a similar role is a good thing, we are happy to speak to graduates or those with IT backgrounds such as service desk and desktop engineers looking for a new role or path in their career.

As a Security and Batch Operations Analyst, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the operational controls necessary to deliver high-quality services to our clients, retailers, and consumers. Our SOC team monitors and responds to alerts and events from our network, ensuring service availability and security. You will be part of a fun and engaging team, contributing to the continuous improvement of our security configurations, practices, and processes
What will you be doing?
Monitor and manage both IT and Security incidents. Investigate and resolve cyber security events, collaborating with the SOC team. Conduct investigations into the root cause of security events, escalating when necessary. Support internal and external stakeholders to enhance PayPoint’s security posture. Be part of a 24/7 rotating shift pattern (4 days on, 4 days off) What would we like from you? Passion for the IT sector with a keen interest in Cyber Security. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server OS’s (2012 to 2019), Microsoft Office 365, and Windows Servers Services (DHCP, DNS, AD). Excellent written and verbal communication skills
It would be great if you already have…
Experience in a 24/7 rota within IT or Security. Understanding of PCI-DSS compliance. Scripting capability, especially using PowerShell Bash. Familiarity with tools like zScaler, Solarwinds, Crowdstrike, Splunk. Experience with batch automation tools, Linux, and Azure. Working knowledge of SIEM Tools. Experience in Event Analysis, Triage, Incident Handling, and Root-Cause identification.
