Description

An experienced Project Manager is required for a unique role requiring fit-out industry knowledge and experience. This is a Fixed Term Contract of 6 months, with a view of a permanent role as the role develops.
Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are recruiting on behalf of their client, this role would be employed by our client on a fixed term contract. This is a full time role based in the Leeds office, with travel to support operations on site in London, Manchester and other UK major cities.
Role Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering workspace projects from inception through to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, in full (OTIF), within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
You will play a key role in improving operational efficiency, particularly within installations, while maintaining strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement across processes.
Key Responsibilities * Plan, manage, and deliver multiple projects, including larger and more complex installations, from concept, schedules, installation programmes, through to completion * Develop and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with production and installation teams * Ensure all projects are delivered on time, in full (OTIF) and within agreed budgets, identifying and implementing cost saving opportunities. * Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, preparing and completing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), taking ownership of Health and Safety throughout the projects. * Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless delivery * Lead weekly scheduling and project review meetings * Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, building strong working relationships and ensuring clear communication on timelines, progress, and expectations, resolving any issues efficiently. * Lead process improvements across logistics, planning, and execution and conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues. * Prepare and manage project costings and budgets and reports, managing administration and compliance throughout. * Support with team training and process improvement.
Skills & Experience * Proven experience in project management, ideally within fit-out, interiors, or workspace environments * Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects * Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities * Financial awareness with experience managing budgets and reporting GP * Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement * Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and compliance * Highly organised and detail-oriented, with a passion for driving success and high standards of service. * Strong leadership and team coordination skills
