About The Role
The team are involved on a variety of activities for all classes of vessels. This might include ship system design modifications (i.e. Installation Solutions); feasibility studies and report writing; Fluid Flow analysis, CAD draughting modifications and ship surveys.

The Design Engineer team are an integrated part of the Mechanical team dealing with producing System Design Modifications which include Installation Drawing Packages using AutoCAD 2D and 3D Inventor for future Alterations and Additions to specific ship platforms and conducting ship surveys at various sites across the UK and abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

• AutoCAD and Inventor design - producing spacial layouts, detailed parts lists/inentories and detail manufacturing.
• Conducting ship surveys.
• Carrying out investigations into operational problems, developing and prepare solutions individually or as a member of a team.
• Support the development of best practice to increase the capability and performance of tools and processes

Skills & Qualifications:

• 2D/3D design experience, preferably in AutoCAD
• Experience producing spacial layouts, detailed parts lists, inventories and detail manufacturing.
• An understanding of detailed system and technical engineering drawings including manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of ship system engineering drawings i.e. 2D diagrammatic and 3D piping isometrics, ship systems materials and equipment selection.
