NDH Edge Site Deployment / Day 2 Operations Support Engineer Location: Corsham Clearance: DV (UKSV) required Contract: Contract role Overview Carbon60 is recruiting an Edge Site Deployment / Day 2 Operations Support Engineer to support a highly secure, classified maritime data collection and processing capability. The programme comprises a large core object storage deployment hosted in a primary data centre, alongside multiple secure edge storage and processing sites across the UK. These edge sites provide local data processing via secure, encrypted user access devices, operating in disconnected and air‑gapped environments. This is a hands-on engineering role supporting both the rollout of new edge sites and ongoing day‑2 operations, ideal for an experienced infrastructure or systems engineer comfortable working independently in high-assurance environments. The Role You will support the end-to-end deployment of secure edge sites, including pre‑deployment planning, coordination with local stakeholders, and execution of site-specific deployment activities. While defined processes and procedures are in place, site variations require problem-solving, adaptability, and a proactive mindset. Once sites are live, you will provide ongoing operational support, including system changes, security patching, updates, and incident resolution.
