We’re looking for a dedicated individual to join our robust team at the Skelmersdale Distribution Centre , where you’ll play a crucial role in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Industrial Hygiene & Safety (IH&S), and Fire Protection.
Your Role:
As a key player in our team, you will ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation and internal standards while driving continuous improvement across our site safety systems and programs. Are you ready for the challenge?
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Site HSE Tools: Lead the delivery of core HSE objectives, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with UK HSE laws.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Own the site safety documentation and contractor HSE sections, maintaining the site HSE scorecard.
- Cross-Departmental Procedures: Provide support to ensure safety, quality, service, and productivity targets are met.
- Role Model Behaviour: Represent the site in monthly HSE calls and contribute to central HSE scorecard reporting.
- Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, overseeing contractors and project coordination.

Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Safety Qualification is required.
- Proven experience in the HSE environment with a solid understanding of UK HSE legislation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and the ability to challenge quality and safety standards.
- Demonstrated leadership and accountability to drive long-term plans and standardization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accountability and leadership.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, and you will need to provide your own continuous right to work in the UK from Day 1 of employment without requiring sponsorship from P&G.
