You will play a key role in shaping mechanical design quality, driving engineering best practice, and supporting the development of both products and people within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The Role Reporting to the Associate Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will lead mechanical engineering activities across projects, providing technical direction and ensuring high-quality delivery from concept through to production. You will act as a key technical authority within the team, helping to guide design decisions, resolve engineering challenges, and ensure consistency, compliance, and performance across deliverables. Key Responsibilities \* Lead and deliver mechanical engineering expertise across projects, including subsystems and technology developments \* Provide technical direction and guidance across mechanical engineering activities \* Ensure mechanical designs meet stakeholder, product, and regulatory requirements by design \* Champion best-practice mechanical engineering principles across all project activities \* Support creation and distribution of engineering work packages across cross-functional teams \* Drive delivery of projects through key milestones through to completion and production readiness \* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, directives, and applicable industry standards \* Act as a role model for junior engineers, supporting mentoring, coaching, and technical development \* Promote engineering consistency, quality, and continuous improvement across the function About You You will be an experienced mechanical engineer with strong technical expertise, a structured approach to design, and a natural ability to guide and support others within a team environment.
