Morson Edge is working with a key organisation within the UK nuclear sector to recruit a Waste Engineer / SMLO for a long-term contract based at Winfrith in Dorset.

This role offers the opportunity to support critical site operations within a highly regulated environment, contributing to the safe and compliant delivery of waste management activities across a major decommissioning programme.

The Role

You will provide technical and operational support to ensure waste management services are delivered in line with project objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the planning and execution of waste management activities on site
Providing technical input into waste handling, storage, and disposal processes
Ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards, procedures, and safety regulations
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Supporting project delivery to agreed scope, time, and quality requirements
Maintaining awareness of industry developments and applying relevant improvements
About You

We are looking for candidates with:

Experience in waste management within a nuclear or highly regulated environment
Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Ability to support operational and project-based activities
Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
A proactive and solutions-focused approach
