Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are looking for a Structured Cabling Engineer (Managed Services Engineer) to join our dynamic team! This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite at customer locations in and around Portsmouth, with the potential for travel away from home.

If you have experience in the Fibre/Data/Voice arena and are eager to grow your skill set, this is the perfect role for you! You’ll be part of a supportive team, tackling a variety of tasks including installations and break-fix solutions.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Safety First: Always operate in a safe manner, adhering to NG Bailey’s Health & Safety policies while promoting a culture of safety.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with all NG Bailey policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Deliver work that meets or exceeds client expectations while adhering to vendor and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Material Management: Maintain control of materials and keep accurate records of deliveries and project stock.
  • Reporting: Provide timely and accurate internal and customer project reporting, including timesheets and completion certificates.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with customers through efficient project delivery, optimizing future opportunities.
  • Installation Standards: Ensure all installations meet internal specifications and statutory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience with fibre and copper, data, and voice cabling.
  • Proven ability to locate and rectify faults.
  • Experience working on live customer sites.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work away from home and out of hours.
Important Notes
  • Security Clearance will be required for this role, and we will assist you in obtaining it.
  • A valid Driving Licence is necessary.
