About the Role

We are looking for a highly creative Innovation Chef to join our Meals Division, playing a pivotal role within the Innovation and NPD team. This is a dynamic, fast-paced position focused on delivering best-in-class products across both quality and cost.

This role offers exceptional variety-supporting site-based NPD, leading divisional projects, troubleshooting across multiple sites, and delivering inspiring customer presentations. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the innovation agenda while championing food values across the division.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver innovative product development across multiple meal categories, ensuring excellence in quality and cost
• Support and collaborate with site NPD teams, commercial teams, and customers on briefs, concepts, and product pipelines
• Act as a divisional support chef, troubleshooting and providing hands-on guidance across UK sites
• Create and deliver engaging customer presentations, showcasing culinary expertise, trends, and inspiration
• Drive continuous improvement through repeat sampling, product refinement, and strategic development with key customers

About You

You are a passionate, driven chef with a strong innovation background and a deep love for food. Equally comfortable in the kitchen and in front of customers, you bring creativity, energy, and commercial awareness to everything you do.

You thrive under pressure, enjoy variety, and are motivated by the opportunity to influence product direction across a whole division. With a hands-on approach and strong relationship-building skills, you can inspire both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a similar Innovation or Development Chef role within a fast-paced food environment
• Strong culinary expertise with the ability to translate food trends into commercially viable products
• Confident presenter with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
• Flexible and mobile, with the ability to travel frequently across UK sites
