The Role

New Product Introduction (NPI)

Support product development from concept through production release

Translate design intent into robust, manufacturable processes

Lead DFM and DFA reviews

Develop and validate manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions

Lead prototype builds and first article validation

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Act as the key interface between Design, R&D, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain

Provide manufacturing input during design reviews

Ensure engineering changes are effectively implemented on the shop floor

Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly across teams

Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement

Rapidly investigate and resolve production issues using structured methodologies

Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions

Organise containment activities to minimise disruption

Drive permanent improvements to reduce rework and waste

Production Support

Provide hands-on support during prototype builds

Troubleshoot tooling, equipment, and process issues

Support training of production staff on new products and processes

About You

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or NPI engineering role

Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments

Technical Capability

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, vehicle wiring, and vehicle electronics

Structured root cause analysis and problem-solving expertise

Experience with SolidWorks and Pulse PDM preferred

Knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, and SPC

Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
