This position plays an important part in delivering safe, compliant and efficient waste management for decommissioning projects and site infrastructure, helping the site meet its key waste performance targets.
What you will be doing
- Providing a quality and responsive waste management service to decommissioning projects and site infrastructure.
- Ensuring waste is managed and disposed of in full compliance with site and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting delivery activities in line with your skills, knowledge and experience.
- Adhering to all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, work instructions and risk assessments.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of HSE&Q performance on site.
- Collating technical waste performance data for analysis against waste management objectives and schedules in the Life Time Plan.
- Assisting in the preparation of safety cases under the plant modification procedure.
- Helping to specify work instructions, documentation and processes related to waste management.
What you bring
- Strong administrative skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Clear understanding of regulatory and compliance-driven environments.
- Basic knowledge of the nuclear sector, including low-level radioactive waste and out-of-scope waste.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- STEM-related background (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) is desirable.

- Security clearance: BPSS.
- Working pattern: on site only - no hybrid working.
- Our client provides and covers the cost of Triple Bar training if you do not already hold a valid certificate.
- You will need to complete (and self-fund) a Drugs & Alcohol test and a DBS check prior to starting on site.
