This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in engineering drawing checking, CAD validation and manufacturing quality assurance, particularly within a steel fabrication / mechanical engineering environment. Quality Engineer main job responsibilities: \* Check and approve engineering output (including all 3D Models, drawings, Bills of Material (MRP (BOM) and any documentation) for technical completeness, clarity of information, conformance with standards, dimensional accuracy, manufacturability and the correct specification of materials and processes. \* Check and approve tolerance stack analyses for technical completeness and correctness, ensure cumulative tolerances do not render the products in operable or uncertified. \* Responsible for the definition of a standard drawing format and alignment of all engineering output to this standard. Where amendments to drawing standards are required, this role is responsible for re-defining the affected standards with the change, gaining approval from the Engineering Supervisor and rolling out the changes to the wider department. \* Complete adherence to the company ISO 9001 procedures and process maps.
