Role: HVAC Engineer
Location: RAF Croughton (with occasional travel to Barford St Johns)
Salary: £40,000 £44,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00 16:30)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
The OpportunityWe are looking for a skilled and reliable HVAC Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting critical infrastructure within a secure and professional environment. This is a varied role offering a mix of planned maintenance, reactive work, and minor installations across both commercial and domestic systems.
Youll be trusted to work independently for much of your time, managing your own workload and ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on HVAC systems
- Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs across a range of equipment
- Undertake minor installation and refurbishment works where required
- Manage and complete jobs via PDA or job sheets, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
- Meet agreed KPIs and service level expectations
- Maintain strict compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including RAMS, COSHH, and RIDDOR
- Liaise professionally with on-site personnel, including military staff and external partners
- Work both independently and collaboratively when required
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- City & Guilds in Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
- F-Gas Category 1 certification
- Proven experience in HVAC maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working in MOD environments or knowledge of JSP375
- Hydrocarbon refrigerant certification
- First Aid or additional Health & Safety qualifications
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance
