Electrical Design Engineer Peterborough Job responsibilities: Design of MCC Panels (motor circuits, safety circuits, PLC equipment, layouts)
Produce I/O configuration and I/O lists, material specifications and bills of material
Produce cable lists / sizing calculations / electrical test sheets / single line diagrams
Design cable routes, calculate containment size and update building layout drawings
Writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements / CDM regulations
Modifications to hardware and panels on site (24VDC, 230VAC, 415VAC)
Electrical testing / fault finding on site Required qualifications Technical/Vocational diploma or degree in electrical engineering or C&G Level 3, NVQ 3 & requirements for electrical installations (BS7671) or equivalent
Experience with Amtech, AutoCAD, Excel and EPLAN, or other drawing package
Knowledge of current electrical regulations / safety requirements
Knowledge of drives, PLCs, control gear (Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens)
Flexible, self-motivated, works well as part of a team
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and enjoy working in a team
Valid driving licence and ready to travel in the UK and worldwide
Demonstrable experience of electrical design engineering
