Senior Geotechnical Engineer Glasgow £50,000 - £60,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established engineering consultancy in Glasgow. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer looking to take ownership of complex projects and play a key role in delivering high-quality geotechnical solutions across Scotland and the wider UK. The Role You will lead and support the delivery of geotechnical projects across a range of sectors, with a strong focus on slope stability, rock mechanics, and quarry design. You will be responsible for providing technical input, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring robust and practical design solutions are delivered to clients. Key Responsibilities Leading the design and assessment of slope stability and rock mechanics problems
Undertaking and reviewing quarry design and optimisation studies
Producing and checking geotechnical reports and design calculations
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff
Liaising with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
Supporting site visits and interpretation of ground conditionsRequirements Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering (MSc preferred)
Significant experience in geotechnical design and analysis
Strong background in slope stability, rock mechanics and quarry design
Proficiency in relevant geotechnical software
Excellent communication and report writing skills
