Our client is a reputable producer of a bespoke product, due to the ongoing growth, they are looking for an experienced Design engineer to join their engineering team. What’s on offer: \* Full time, permanent position 07:30 - 16:30 Monday- Thursday and 07:30-12:30 on a Friday. \* Option of Hybrid work after completion of probation period \* Salary: £30,000.00 – £40,000.00 \* Cycle to work scheme The role: Reporting to the Head of Mechanical Engineering, Design engineer will be responsible for the design and development of specialist equipment, including producing engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation. Key Responsibilities: \* Create 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor \* Produce Bills of Materials and technical documentation \* Ensure designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulations \* Carry out design calculations and review documentation accuracy \* Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers \* Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and KPIs Additional Duties: Here are the key requirements for the Design Engineer role based on your description: About you: \* Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience) \* Experience in mechanical design, ideally within specialist equipment, heaters, pressure systems, or hazardous area equipment \* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (or similar 3D CAD software) \* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, design calculations, and technical documentation
