Are you an experienced Process Safety Engineer looking to make a real impact in a high-hazard environment? We’re working with a leading operator in the Southern North Sea who are looking to strengthen their Process Safety team in Norwich. This is a key role where you’ll take ownership of critical safety studies and directly influence the safe operation of offshore and onshore assets. The Opportunity You’ll be at the forefront of process safety, leading and facilitating major risk assessments and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practice. Key responsibilities include: Leading and facilitating studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, FERA, and QRA
Supporting SIL determination, SIF design, and SIL verification activities
Providing engineering solutions to close risk gaps and improve asset safety
Supporting Management of Change (MOC), incident investigations, and safety-critical task analysis
Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a strong safety culture What We’re Looking For TÜV / Functional Safety certification (essential for this role)
MEng in Chemical and/or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
CEng desirable but not essential.
Functional Safety Engineer (FS Eng) certification desirable; relevant experience will also be considered.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in process and process safety engineering within a major hazard industry (preferably Oil and Gas).
Working knowledge of Safety Case Regulations and/or COMAH.
Operational experience and knowledge of Safe Isolation and Reinstatement of plant highly desirable.
Experienced user of Hysys (or equivalent); Olga experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of consequence modelling tools, including their limitations. Phast user experience highly desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
BOSIET/FOET, MIST, CA-EBS and Offshore Medical desirable but not essential. What’s on Offer Opportunity to work on high-impact offshore assets
