About the Role We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of fire alarm systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You will ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards in accordance with BS 5839 and company procedures. Key Responsibilities \* Service, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and related life safety equipment. \* Carry out routine inspections and testing in accordance with relevant standards. \* Diagnose faults and complete repairs in a timely and professional manner. \* Complete service reports, certificates, and documentation accurately. \* Provide technical support and advice to customers. \* Participate in an on-call rota for emergency callouts (additional allowance paid). \* Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times. Requirements Essential: \* Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service or Maintenance Engineer. \* Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems (e.g. Advanced, Kentec, Gent, Morley, Hochiki, Apollo, etc.). \* Understanding of BS 5839 and other relevant standards. \* Full UK driving licence. \* Excellent customer service and communication skills. Desirable: \* FIA training modules (Units 1–4 or equivalent). \* Experience with addressable and conventional systems. \* Knowledge of emergency lighting and smoke ventilation systems.
