Role Overview We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team. This role is both hands-on and supervisory, requiring a strong technical background alongside proven people management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant performance in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Key Responsibilities \* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment \* Work hands-on to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime \* Lead, support, and develop a team of engineers, ensuring high performance and engagement \* Manage and prioritise workloads in a high-pressure production environment \* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), ideally SAP \* Raise, track, and close work orders through SAP, ensuring data accuracy and compliance \* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards and company procedures \* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency \* Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members Technical Requirements \* Ideally multi-skilled with both electrical and mechanical competencies \* Experience working with high-pressure systems, including steam and compressed air \* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities \* Experience within a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred Skills & Experience \* Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled engineering role \* Previous experience in a people management or supervisory position is essential \* Hands-on approach with a willingness to lead by example \* Experience using CMMS systems, preferably SAP \* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines \* Strong communication and organisational skills Qualifications \* Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent) \* Electrical qualifications (e.g., 17th/18th Edition) essential
