Fire Alarm Engineer Location: Kent We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join a well-established and growing fire safety specialist. The Role As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems across a variety of premises. You will play a vital role in ensuring systems are fully operational and compliant with current safety regulations. Key responsibilities include: \* Installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems \* Conducting inspections, testing, and fault finding \* Diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently \* Responding to emergency call-outs, including out-of-hours support \* Managing daily schedules and planning service routes \* Maintaining accurate documentation and service records \* Managing stock, tools, and company vehicle \* Delivering high levels of customer service and maintaining client relationships \* Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and company procedures Requirements \* Proven experience working with fire alarm systems \* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills \* Knowledge of fire safety standards and regulations (e.g. BS5839) \* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively \* Excellent communication and customer service skills \* Strong organisational and time management abilities \* Full UK driving licence Certifications (Essential & Desirable): \* FIA / NICEIC / SSAIB / NVQ training (essential) \* ECS/CSCS card (advantageous) \* IPAF certification (advantageous) \* EAL Level 3 in BS5839 (Part 1 or 6) (advantageous) \* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous) \* Inspection & Testing qualifications (advantageous) What’s on Offer \* Competitive basic salary \* Performance bonus \* Company van (including personal use) \* Fuel card, tools, PPE, and mobile phone provided \* Fully funded training and professional development \* 40-hour working week (Monday to Friday) \* Opportunity to work independently within a supportive team \* Stable, long-term position in a growing organisation
