They are looking for a highly experienced Senior/Principal Electronics Engineer to lead the design and delivery of new electronic boards and systems. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop robust, innovative electronic solutions that underpin their state-of-the-art analytical instruments. Your expertise will be critical in delivering impactful results that influence their business outcomes both regionally and internationally.

Responsibilities of the Senior Electronics Engineer

  • Take ownership of technical solutions within specific electronics development projects.
  • Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, innovative products.
  • Lead design reviews, maintain detailed design and implementation records.
  • Act as a go-to expert on electronics issues across the wider technology team.
  • Mentor colleagues, helping them develop skills in electronics tools and methodologies.
  • Contribute to architectural design and development processes.
  • Support existing products and manage engineering changes in line with company procedures.

Requirements of the Senior Electronics Engineer

  • Degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline.
  • Extensive practical experience in designing and developing electronic systems, including analogue, digital, and power supply circuitry.
  • Experience with embedded software development in C and assembler.
  • Skilled in low-noise electronics design and electronic system modelling for noise performance.
  • Proficient in writing efficient, well-structured VHDL for FPGA development.
  • Capable of designing complex SMT multilayer PCBs with over 500 components.
  • Understanding of thermal and mechanical design aspects.
  • Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and FPGA tools.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux, application development in Windows, and test harness creation in C#.
