Senior Java Developer (Contract) - Investment Bank - Central London

Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Central London (1 day per week onsite)

Overview

We’re working with a leading investment bank in Central London seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a front-office aligned team. This role sits within a regulatory/compliance-focused environment, supporting systems with strong exposure to FX options.

Key Requirements

Domain Experience:

• Strong experience with FX Options
• Background in Regulatory Compliance
• Front office exposure preferred (mid/back office acceptable if strong domain alignment)

Technical Skills:

• Java (10+ years core development)
• Experience with low-latency/high-performance systems
• Kubernetes / OpenShift
• Cassandra and Oracle
• Hazelcast

Nice to Have:

• Frontend experience with React and TypeScript

Additional Info

• Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced banking environment
• Strong business understanding is key, particularly around compliance and trading flows
