A highly respected specialist PCB design and semiconductor test company, with many years of success and continued growth, is seeking a gifted electronics engineer to join the business. This is a pivotal technical leadership role, reporting to the Technical Director. You will lead a small team of engineers while taking ownership of the development and expansion of the companys test capabilities.

The Role
You will play a central role in both hands-on engineering and technical leadership, including:
Leading and developing a small, highly skilled test team
Managing day-to-day test engineering operations
Designing and delivering end-to-end engineering solutions, from concept through to execution
Developing advanced electronic test solutions, including:
Custom power supplies for latch-up testing
Test fixtures and hardware interfaces
Automated test programs (ATE)
Working on complex semiconductor test challenges (ESD, latch-up, TLP, device characterisation)Interpreting complex semiconductor datasheets, pin configurations, and test requirementsActing as a key technical interface with customers and suppliersSupporting the companys reputation for technical excellence and rapid turnaroundContributing to strategic decisions, including investment in new test equipment and technology
Candidate Requirements
Degree (1st or 2:1 preferred) in Electronics or a closely related discipline
Strong, fundamental understanding of electronic principles
Significant hands-on experience in:
PCB design
Power supply design
Electronics testing and interfacing
Experience or exposure to technical leadership or team managementAbility to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers, and internal teamsA practical, hands-on approach with strong bench-level capabilityExperience (or strong interest) in semiconductor testing, including:
Ability to interpret detailed datasheets and complex technical information
