Data & ML Engineer Newcastle (Hybrid)

A global consultancy is expanding its data capability and hiring a Data & ML Engineer to deliver high-impact solutions across enterprise clients.

This is a hands-on engineering role where youll design pipelines, deploy machine learning models, and help shape modern AI-driven systems.

What youll be doing

• Build and optimise data pipelines and ML workflows
• Develop and deploy ML models (NLP, deep learning, AI applications)
• Work with streaming and batch data pipelines across cloud platforms
• Implement CI/CD and MLOps frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions
• Support data modelling, governance, and quality initiatives

What were looking for

• Experience with Python, SQL, Spark (and ideally Scala)
• Hands-on delivery of ML solutions in production
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of DevOps, containers, and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
