Senior Web Developer

What the day will look like

Your days will be varied but will likely include:

• Working on developing our product by writing code, testing, debugging, analysing, reviewing and all other aspects of the software development lifecycle
• Working with other developers, actuaries, devops and other teams to ensure successful delivery of software
• Providing support to both internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting and potentially leading product deployments
• Contributing to architecture, process and quality improvement discussions
• Engaging in ongoing professional development

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Strong communication – both technical and non-technical
• Problem solving – digging into the why
• Adaptability – open to new tech as the stack evolves
• NET Backend web development
• SQL Server / Azure SQL
• Unit testing, e.g. xUnit
• Security & authentication

Good to have:

• Experience leading or guiding junior colleagues
• Containerised application development
• Cloud (Azure or equivalent)
• Scalable deployment experience
• Modern UI web framework experience (Angular or equivalent)
• Distributed message queue
• System / E2E testing
