Field Desktop Engineer (1st Line)

Southampton/London - 4 days split in the office/1 day from home - Ideal if you are based in South West London.

£150-£200 per day

We’re looking for a proactive Field Desktop Engineer to join a growing team, providing high-quality 1st line support across multiple sites. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in keeping the business running smoothly while continuously improving how technology supports users.

What you’ll be doing:

• Deliver 1st line IT support to employees across multiple locations
• Triage, manage and resolve support tickets efficiently
• Provide support for Microsoft 365, CRM systems, and other business-critical applications
• Create clear, user-friendly technical documentation and support guides
• Work closely with third-party vendors to implement and optimise IT solutions
• Manage hardware provisioning, setup, and maintenance across sites

What we’re looking for:

• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
• Strong knowledge of Windows devices, with exposure to Mac, iOS, and Android
• At least 1 year of experience in a technical support role (financial services experience is a plus)
• A degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience using technology to improve business processes
