The Role Morson are seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to provide technical expertise across manufacturing programmes, supporting the delivery of robust, capable, and zero-defect tooling solutions. This role plays a key part in enabling high-quality production through strong engineering leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for tooling development from concept through to production
- Ensure robust, capable manufacturing processes with a strong focus on zero defect delivery
- Support production and resolve tooling, quality, and supplier issues efficiently
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across tooling and manufacturing processes
- Provide technical oversight for tooling cost, schedule, and configuration changes
- Promote best practice, standardisation, and development of new tooling methods
- Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to meet programme demands
- Champion safety, quality, and compliance standards at all times
Skills & Experience
- Degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing / Tooling Engineering within aerospace or similar regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of quality systems such as AS9100 / ISO9001
- Proven ability to lead technically, influence stakeholders, and work with minimal supervision
Travel
- Occasional domestic and international travel (<20%)
