Job Purpose
- The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for providing expert, consistent and legally compliant employee relations support across the organisation. Reporting to the Lead Employee Relations Manager, the role oversees complex ER casework, supports line managers through coaching and advice, and ensures best practice application of employment law, policies and procedures
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Provide expert advice, coaching and support to line managers and colleagues on all aspects of employee relations, including complex and high risk cases.
- Manage and oversee a high volume ER caseload covering sickness absence, conduct, capability, grievance and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure all ER activity is legally compliant, proportionate, consistent and aligned to organisational policies and best practice.
- Support an ER Advisor to ensure delivery of a holistic and effective People service.
Essential Experience Required
- Extensive experience advising line managers on complex employee relations casework, particularly sickness absence, conduct, capability and grievance.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Additional information to note
- Working Hours: 35 hours per week.
- Work pattern
- 3 days remote; 2 days in the office. 09:00 - 17:0, Mon-Fri.
- We work on bi-weekly schedule.
