Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Manufacturing

Shift Pattern: Panama (Days & Nights, avg. 42 hours per week)

We’re currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business close to Bournemouth, operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, fault-finding under pressure, and keeping production running efficiently.

The Role:
You’ll be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across site. Working within a multi-skilled team, you’ll play a key part in reducing downtime and improving overall equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown support
• Fault finding and repair of mechanical systems and production machinery
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures
• Working closely with production teams to minimise disruption

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing or FMCG
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes or similar equipment
• Comfortable working a Panama shift pattern (days and nights)
• A proactive, team-focused approach
