Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Snowflake & Aladdin Data Architect to cover some key design areas for a leading Asset Manager.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You will be responsible for re-designing their Snowflake architecture for Aladdin to date. This ask covers some core non-Aladdin datasets they are bringing in and how these could be onboarded / modelled / mapped into this architecture.

In essence it involves the design of a new import database into the bronze layer of their medallion architecture for a new fund launch. Holdings/reference data differs in structure to Aladdin so need to determine how to land and join it to core Aladdin datasets

They are more interested in data architecture and asset management data domain experience vs. Aladdin although any experience working with Aladdin data would be a bonus.

Key Tasks & Skills

1. Bronze Layer Design & Build
   ? Design the schema and ingestion approach for the Import Database in the Bronze layer, in full alignment with existing design principles.
   ? Ensure all data is landed in Bronze in its raw, source-aligned form, with no business transformations, enrichment, or remodelling. Each source must have a clearly defined ingestion contract covering transport mechanism, delivery cadence, schema, versioning, and change indicators.
   ? Select the appropriate standard ingestion pattern (database-sourced, API-sourced, file-based, or stream/event-based) that best matches the PMOF data source’s transport characteristics and implement a Source Data Contract that conforms to the rules of that pattern.

2. XREF & Silver Integration Design
   ? Design the cross-referencing strategy to enable Import Database datasets to be joined to existing Silver layer datasets (e.g., Security, Portfolio, Benchmark).
   ? Define and document how entities (holdings, reference data) will be matched and linked to ADC/Aladdin entities, including match rules, confidence scores, and conflict resolution.

3. Architectural Diagrams & Documentation
   ? Produce clear, maintainable architectural diagrams showing:
   o Schema diagrams for the new import database.
   o XREF integration patterns and entity relationship mappings.
   o Lineage diagrams showing traceability back to source.
   o Documentation for Technical Architecture Board submissions
