Rate: £25.26ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £33.88ph on a PAYE basis

Position Description

The position is responsible for the engineering integration process for vehicle architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the vehicle technical specifications and attributes across vehicle architectures
• Lead and resolve complex multifunctional engineering problems. Be able to balance competing attributes and requirements to define the optimum engineering solution.
• Analysis of current and future technologies and competitor products to ensure the future competitiveness of our client’s products by influencing their strategies
• Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals.
• Problems faced are difficult and often complex.

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of whole vehicle engineering and cross-functional vehicle systems
• Enthusiasm for vehicles and their development
• Strong communication skills and ability to interpret technical information
• Good IT literacy eg. ability to create and manage presentations and spreadsheets
• Full UK driving licence
• Eligible to work in the UK

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience of whole vehicle development and validation
• Previous experience of problem solving tools, eg. Six sigma methods
• Previous experience of leading technical issue resolution

Hybrid Working

We are in the office as a Team on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus others as and when required/agreed. A typical working week would be >50% in the office including all day Tuesdays and Thursdays.
