Senior Control Systems Engineer (London)
Control Systems Integration | Full-Time An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer to take a leading role in delivering high-quality automation and control system projects from concept through to commissioning. This is a hands-on position combining technical delivery with team leadership, offering the chance to work on complex, innovative projects while mentoring and developing engineers. The Role * Lead the full project lifecycle: design, development, programming, testing, and commissioning * Develop control system solutions in collaboration with clients * Programme and configure PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems * Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers, graduates, and apprentices * Attend client meetings and conduct site surveys * Produce detailed technical documentation and ensure compliance * Support site commissioning activities (occasional travel required) Requirements * 5+ years’ experience in a senior or lead control systems role * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar * Strong PLC, SCADA, and HMI experience (e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Wonderware/AVEVA) * Proven experience in system design, programming, and modification * Previous leadership or mentoring experience * Strong client-facing and communication skills * Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK * Instrumentation and electrical experience desirable What’s on Offer * Competitive salary and company car scheme * 25 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service) * Private healthcare and pension scheme * Ongoing training and development support * Access to wellbeing programmes and employee perks * Regular social events and team-building activities * Overtime/TIL and expenses scheme This is a great opportunity for a driven engineer looking to take ownership of projects, influence technical delivery, and play a key role in a growing engineering team
