Were looking for a Heat Networks Engineer to join a specialist team delivering high-quality, compliant and future-ready solutions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where youll contribute directly to project delivery, technical standards, and the development of others.

What Youll Be Doing

Youll play a key role across the full lifecycle of heat network projects, including:

• Design: Leading or contributing to the design of new and existing heat networks, optimising performance and efficiency
• Technical Assurance / Guardian Role: Reviewing designs, contractor information, and site installations to ensure compliance and quality
• Performance Monitoring: Supporting post-occupancy evaluation to ensure systems meet operational targets
• Optimisation & Troubleshooting: Improving existing systems, diagnosing issues, and developing practical solutions
• Funding Support: Assisting with applications for government funding schemes such as the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES)
• Standards Development: Creating tools, guidance, and internal resources to support consistent, high-quality delivery
• Mentorship: Supporting and guiding graduate and junior engineers

About You

Youll be motivated to contribute to a fast-growing, technically challenging field and enjoy working collaboratively to deliver practical solutions.

Youre likely to be a Senior Mechanical Engineer, or an Intermediate Engineer ready to step up, with:

• A strong understanding of heating systems and heat network design
• Experience in inspecting mechanical installations on site
• Clear and effective written communication skills, including technical reporting
• Confidence working with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
• Chartered status (or working towards it)
