Were working with an innovative technology company based in Fareham that develops advanced software solutions for clients across the financial services sector. Due to continued growth, theyre now looking for an Application Support Engineer to join their Tech Ops team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex application issues and working closely with developers to deliver technical solutions. Youll act as a key point of contact for client support requests, ensuring issues are investigated, tracked, and resolved efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with stakeholders.

Youll also have the opportunity to work alongside developers and business analysts on software improvements, testing, and application deployments, giving you exposure to modern development tools and technologies. This makes the role perfect for someone who wants to build deeper experience in software support, APIs, and application infrastructure.

Required Skills:

• Experience working in an application or software support role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on testing and quality
• Ability to manage workload and work effectively under pressure
• Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn new technologies
• Comfortable working both independently and within a team

Nice to Have (Not Essential):

• Understanding of Agile methodologies, DevOps, or software lifecycle management
• Experience with APIs and application integrations
• Knowledge of Postman, XMLSpy, or similar testing tools
• Exposure to C#, SQL, XML, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, IIS or SQL Server
• Experience using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps or Git
