Principal Planning Policy Officer – Fully Remote Contract (6 Months Rolling)

Are you an experienced Planning Policy professional ready for your next contract? We’re working with a forward-thinking local authority seeking a Principal Planning Policy Officer to support their team on a fully remote basis.

Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)
Rate: £60+ per hour (DOE)
Contract: 6 months rolling (likely extension)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on the preparation and review of Local Plans and policy documents
• Provide expert advice on planning policy and legislative requirements
• Manage consultations, evidence base work, and examinations
• Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to drive policy forward

About You:

• Proven experience in Planning Policy within a UK local authority
• Strong knowledge of the planning system and current legislation
• Experience taking Local Plans through various stages
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
