Where will you be working?
This role will be within ourwater and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

The Mechanical Project Engineer delivers mechanical design support, coordination, and implementation of water and wastewater projects across Yorkshire Waters asset base. They manage project lifecycle activities including scoping, support with estimating, technical design review, contractor oversight, installation, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal specification’s. The role supports reliability, safety, sustainability, and regulatory performance, working closely with civil, electrical, ICA, and operational teams to drive efficient and effective project delivery.

What youll bring

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience delivering mechanical projects in the water/utilities sector
• Strong knowledge of pumps, pipework, valves, blowers, screens, and mechanical plant
• Understanding of CDM, PUWER, LOLER, and WIMES requirements
• Competent in project management, technical documentation, and contractor coordination
• IOSH/NEBOSH and professional affiliation (IMechE) desirable
