Overall Role Purpose
The WPS Data Analyst role sits within the Workplace Solutions Data, Analytics & Insight function and supports the delivery of high quality, analytical data products that enable effective management of M&G’s Workplace portfolio and services. Focusing on the goal of enabling data-based decision making across the department.
The role contributes directly to the delivery of the WPS Data and AI strategies, translating strategic direction into practical, scalable data, analytics and AI enabled solutions. The role operates at the intersection of change and delivery - advancing new ways of working, platforms and insight capabilities, while ensuring that existing data products continue to operate reliably, with appropriate quality, governance and control.
The role works laterally across the whole team, with senior leadership, other WPS Data Analysts, Technology and functional stakeholders to ensure workplace insight is trusted, well governed and actively used to inform decision making.
Success in the role will be demonstrated through the adoption of data that measurably improve decision quality, efficiency and outcomes across Workplace Solutions.
Key Accountabilities
Design, build and maintain data products that provide clear, decision ready insight for operational and senior stakeholders
Develop repeatable analytical outputs supporting portfolio optimisation, service performance, utilisation and cost management
Contribute to the ongoing development of KPIs, measures and performance frameworks across Workplace Solutions
Ensure insight outputs are well structured, clearly communicated and aligned to decision needs
Drive evidence-based decision making across Workplace Solutions by supporting requirements gathering, user training and adoption through the development and co-creation of data and insight products
Support the migration and optimisation of Workplace data onto centralised, enterprise grade data platforms
Work in partnership with Technology and system owners to improve data pipelines, models, integrations and backend data structures
Own analytical delivery from data ingestion and transformation through to modelling, insight generation and consumption
Design and deliver automation and AI ready solutions that improve speed, consistency and scalability of reporting and analysis
Support experimentation and iteration of new analytical and AI ready capabilities, ensuring appropriate controls are applied
Industrialise new solutions so they can be sustained as part of standard operations
Ensure existing Workplace data products, dashboards and reporting operate accurately, reliably and on time
Maintain appropriate documentation, data ownership, controls and auditability across analytical products
Monitor data quality and resolve issues in collaboration with Technology and system owners
Apply a disciplined approach to quality and control as new capabilities transition into BAU operation
Work closely with other WPS Data Analysts to ensure consistent standards, tooling and analytical approaches
Collaborate with colleagues across Workplace Solutions, Finance, HR and Technology to embed data and AI led ways of working
Support capability uplift across WPS through effective use of dashboards, insight and analytical products
Contribute positively to the development of a strong, credible and collaborative analytics community
