Walking Mobile Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Full-time, Monday to Friday| London (Zones 1-2)
The Role
We are looking for a skilledWalking Mobile Engineer (Electrical Bias)to support a portfolio of commercial offices and buildings withinZones 1-2, Central London. You’ll focus on maintaining and repairing electrical building services while also handling general mechanical and fabric tasks as needed. This is a varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple sites and taking ownership of critical building systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliverplanned preventative maintenance (PPM)andreactive maintenancewith a focus on electrical systems.
- Service and maintain HVAC systems, pumps, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and plumbing infrastructure.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly to minimise downtime.
- Carry out basic mechanical and fabric maintenance when required.
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and best practice.
- Complete accurate service reports and communicate updates to clients.
- Build strong working relationships with building managers, site teams, and stakeholders.
- Follow health & safety standards, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification inElectrical Engineering(apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
- Solid experience in commercial building services with aElectrical bias.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, wiring, testing, electrical maintenance.
- Ability to carry out minor mechanical and fabric maintenance tasks.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites in Central London.
